Because of the overwhelming response to this contest, the Judging Panel will not be able to make a final decision by April 30, 2008. The Panel will meet in May to select a winner.

Reason for Contest: Name the Rail Line
For the past 10 years, CORRIDORone has been the working name of a proposed rail line slated to run between Harrisburg and Lancaster. Service on this line is planned to begin in the next several years. This contest is being undertaken to give CORRIDORone a new and exciting name. |

Who Can Enter: Open to adults 18 years of age, and minors participating with the express permission of their parent or legal guardian. |

How to Enter: Provide one or more proposed names for the regional train that will run between Lancaster and Harrisburg. Must submit name, address, phone number along with entry (if submitted electronically, supply e-mail address).

Deadline for Entries: Contest begins February 15, 2008 and all entries must be received by March 31, 2008. |

How the Entries will be Judged: The MTP Communications Committee will review all entries and narrow the contenders to no more than 15. These top entries will be reviewed by an impartial panel, consisting of the following individuals:
- Sponsor or his/her designee – Donald Mowery, R.S. Mowery & Sons
- Marketing professionals – Nancy Sacunas, Sue Savage
- Academic
- MTP President – John Ward
- MTP Communications Committee Chair – Karen Gunnison
- MTP Strategic Planning Committee Chair - Glenn Ebersole
When the entries are being reviewed, no name will identify the submitter. A numbering system will be used to keep the submitters anonymous. |

How the Contest will be Judged: the review panel will consider:
a. Whether the name is a good “fit” for the Harrisburg – Lancaster regional rail line
b. How well the name represents the region
c. Originality
d. Marketability
e. Other factors deemed relevant by the panel

The fine print:
MTP Communications Committee members, staff, members of the review panel, and their immediate families are not eligible to make submissions.
The contest is open to adults 18 years of age, and minors participating with the express permission of their parent or legal guardian.
By participating, entrants (and their parent or guardian, if the entrant is a minor) agree to abide by and be bound by these rules.
The winning name must pass a trademark/copyright review.
If more than one person submits the same winning name, the proceeds will be divided evenly among the winners.
Only one prize will be awarded.
There is no limit to the number of names a person may submit.
All submissions become the property of the MTP and the submitter relinquishes all rights thereto.
The decision of the review panel as to the winning name will be final.
No purchase necessary to win.
Names, addresses and email addresses are collected for the purpose of giving photo credit and notifying contest winners. MTP does not sell or rent personal information.
Entries will not be accepted by phone.
All decisions of the MTP Communications Committee are final and binding in all respects.
All faxed, e-mailed or web-submitted entries must be received by MTP no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, March 31, 2008. Entries submitted by mail must be postmarked by Monday, March 31, 2008.
Illegible, unintelligible, incomplete or garbled entries will be disqualified.
Contest winners will be notified by email, telephone or mail by Wednesday, April 30, 2008.
If potential winner(s) cannot be contacted, does not respond within five days, or MTP’s notification is returned as undeliverable, such potential winner(s) forfeits all rights to any prize, and an alternate winner(s) may be selected.
Contest winner(s) is responsible for any federal or state income taxes resulting from the prize proceeds. As a condition of winning the prize, the winner(s) must complete, sign and return any applicable forms required by a taxing authority.
MTP assumes no responsibility for lost, late, or misdirected entries or for any computer, online, telephone, cable, electronic, software, hardware, transmission, connection, Internet, accessibility or other access issues that might hinder the ability of any participant to enter the contest.
MTP reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest if necessary for technical reasons including computer viruses, bugs, tampering and other technical failures.
By participating in this contest, entrants (and their parent or legal guardian, if the entrant is a minor) agree to release and hold harmless MTP, its officers, representatives, agents, employees and volunteers from any and all liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising from or in connection with, either directly or indirectly: (i) the awarding, acceptance, receipt, possession, use and/or misuse of the prize awarded herein; or (ii) participation in the contest or any contest-related activities.
MTP is not liable for typographical errors appearing in these rules or other promotional materials relating to the contest.
All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these rules, or the rights and obligations of entrants and MTP in connection with this contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the substantive laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
